Dongfang Dingxin International Agricultural and Sideline Products Trading Center is an imported fruit gathering and distribution project with a total investment of 5.6 billion yuan. It has settled in more than 600 fruit business households and has a daily trading volume of more than 3,000 tons, bringing together the Americas, Europe, Southeast Asia and China. The special fruits of Taiwan and other places are traded in the Jiaodong Peninsula, North China, Beijing and Tianjin. The completion of the project has changed the history of most large-value fruit importers in Qingdao from Shanghai and Guangzhou, increasing the freshness of imported fruits and stabilizing prices. In the future, imported fruits from Qingdao area will not have to be re-transferred to other places through other ports, and can be directly imported into the market through the Dingxin Trading Center. The time required for inspection and quarantine of imported fruits and customs clearance has been greatly shortened. In the past, it took 3 to 5 working days, and now it can be completed in 24 hours. It can save 30% of customs clearance time and 50% of inspection costs.
It is reported that after the completion of the port, Qingdao Customs, inspection and quarantine will be dispatched here to work, and imported fruit from the large fruit market in Jinan, Weifang, Zhengzhou, Beijing and Northeast China can also be imported through the port, without having to detour to Shanghai. Re-exports in places such as Guangzhou can significantly shorten transportation time and reduce business costs.
